11 person have been reported dead in Igama , Edumoga Ehaje in Okpokwu local government area of benue state Sunday 12 june 2022.
Reports have it that, almost all the buildings in igama community were razed down by the suspected herdsmen.
The attack prompted residents of neigbouring village, ogege, flee from their homes for fear of also being attacked.
The Chairman of Okpokwu local government area, Hon, Amina Audu said, the gunmen invaded the communities at about 4:00am on Sunday.
She said the victims were all youths as women and men were allowed to escape.
She also noted that the gunmen entered the community and started shooting sporadically at anyone on sight, before setting the houses on fire.
