Edo Poly Rector Declares Zero Tolerance for Cult Activities

The Rector of Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, Prof. Abiodun Falodun has declared zero tolerance for cult activities and other anti-social behaviours among students in the institution.

Prof. Abiodun Falodun disclosed this during the 20th matriculation ceremony for the 2021/2022 academic session.

According to him “This Polytechnic operates its business within the context of global best practices.  Management is employing all known techniques to ensure it becomes a world-class Polytechnic.  An average Polytechnic is a knowledge industry that transforms insipid people into jewels found worthy in character and learning.  For such excellent products to be churn out, the production processes and materials must be according to specifications.  That is the reason this Polytechnic has zero tolerance for cult activities and other anti-social behaviours.  Cultism is a social menace that has eaten deep into the fabrics of the societ.”

The rector has admonished the students to face their studies squarely and desist from any form cult related activities.

“I want to encourage you to face your studies squarely and not give room to the devil.  Management will enforce all the academic and administrative rules of the Polytechnic in order to ensure the production of quality graduates and functional graduates.  You were admitted here to be refined both in character and creative ability that would improve the technique of performing specific tasks thereby increasing the efficiency of your personal and societal efforts.”

Prof. Abiodun Falodun has expressed his profound appreciation to the Management, Staff and students of Edo Poly for their support in ensuring smooth academic programmes, peace and development.
