The corpse of a flood victim, who went missing after the heavy downpour of Easter Sunday, was found at Ikpoba River on Friday morning in in Benin City.
The discovery of the lifeless body caused obstruction of vehicular movement, as sympathizers gathered to have a glimpse of the victim.
The atmosphere became tensed as the crowd got angry over what they regarded as, government’s nonchalant attitude towards tackling the erosion menace in Benin metropolis.
The situation was however brought under control, as officers and men of the Nigeria Police were on ground to forestall a breakdown of law and order.
Reports have it that, a search party has been on, since the boy was swept off by flood about 12 days ago around the new Benin area.
