A wide spread power outage was experienced across the country On Sunday, 12th June due to a collapse of the national power grid.
This is the fifth time Nigeria is witnessing a collapse of its electricity grid in 2022.
The collapse led to the shutdown of the outgoing electricity feeders of some power distribution companies .
The collapse was confirmed by Enugu Electricity Distribution Company Plc and Kaduna Electricity Distribution.
The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, Jos Electricity Distribution Company, Eko Electricity Distribution Company all released different statements to inform their customers of the collapse.
The spokesperson of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, Emeka Ezeh said as a result of the development, all outgoing feeders were out and this has affected supply to its customers in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States.
He noted that they are on standby, awaiting further information on restoration of supply from the National Control Centre (NCC).
