The National University Commission (NUC) has granted license to Enugu state government for the established of the state university of medical and applied science (SUMAS) Enugu state.
The license was presented to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State in a brief ceremony at NUC headquarters, Abuja.
The Executive Secretary of NUC, Prof Abubakar Adamu Rasheed, used the occasion to congratulate Governor Ugwuanyi and the people of Enugu State.
The Enugu State University of Medical and Applied Sciences will be located in Igbo-Eno, Enugu State.
The License recognizes SUMAS as the second State owned University in Enugu State.
The Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Enugu State, Prof Malachy Okwueze, was present at the presentation ceremony.
