Nigeria national U17 male team, the Golden Eaglets on Tuesday picked one of the two tickets for the CAF U17 African Nations Cup.
The Eaglets defeated the Baby Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire 3-1 in the semi-final of the ongoing U17 WAFU B tourney in Ghana.
A brace from Emmanuel Michael and a goal from Abdullahi Idris ensured that Nigeria overcame the Baby Elephants who were reduced to 10 men after Mustapha received a red card in the 65th minute.
With the win, the Eaglets have qualified for the U17 WAFU B and also pick a spot for the Cup of Nations.
