EDOJOBS: State Government Commissions Center In Edo State Polytechnic

Edo Government has commissioned an Edojobs centre in Edo State Polytechnic, Usen.

The commissioning which took place at the institution’s auditorium on Thursday, 17th November, 2022, had in attendance stakeholders from different walks of life.

Speaking at the event, the Manager, EdoJobs, Mr. Benjamin Akpekpe urged students of the polytechnic and the residents of the community to utilize the opportunities provided by the Centre.

Akpekpe noted that, all Services rendered at the centre are free for both employers and job seekers.

Edo State Commissioner of Education, Joan Osa Oviawe who was represented by the Rector of the institution, Prof. Abiodun Falodun said that the establishment of Edo Job Centre in Edo State Polytechnic, is a rare opportunity to constructively engage youths and equip them with the right tools and knowledge for the future.

She also noted that the creation of EdoJobs centre in Usen, was to give Edo residents in the area access to opportunities that exist in EdoJobs.

As part of his contribution to facilitate the operations of the center, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Prof. Abiodun Falodun donated 5 laptops and an interactive board to the center.

The Chairman of Edo State Micro Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Fund (MSME) Mr. Peter Obaseki Commended the centre for creating an avenue for empowerment in Usen.

He appealed to the Rector of the Polytechnic to make residents of the community to feel welcomed whenever they visit the facility.
