Bendel Insurance football club of Benin, on Saturday picked their third away victory in the 2022 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The 2-1 win came at the expense of Ibom Youth FC and it helped the Benin Arsenal to extend its lead in the southern conference Group B1 to 37 points from 17 games.
A brace from Adodo Stephens ensured that the Benin Arsenal took the maximum three points at stake at the Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium.
The win gave Insurance their third away victory in the current season.
The Benin Arsenal will still continue to enjoy the leadership of group B1 irrespective of the outcome of Gateway Utd, Ikorodu City FC clash on Sunday.
Gateway Utd are the closest rivals in the group with 33 points.
