Democracy Day: Buhari Promises Free And Fair Process In 2023 Election

President Muhammed Buhari has expressed his willingness to ensure that the new president is elected through a peaceful and transparent process. The president stated this in his speech to mark the 2022 Democracy Day.

Buhari said all stakeholders must work together to ensure this transition was done in a peaceful manner in honor of one of the national hereos for democracy, Chief MKO Abiola, GCFR.

The President who said June 12, marked another democracy day anniversary and an occasion to celebrate the freedom and unity of Nigeria, pleaded with all citizens to come together and work for the betterment of the nation.

He also admonished all the candidate running for the presidential election, and also the citizens to stay focused on this general election coming.

Buhari said the victory against the agents of terror and destruction would be certain if all Nigerians were United.

The President said the federal government was working hard to contain and address the challenges of insecurities and ensure that the 2023 general elections were safe and secure for all Nigerians
