A clash between a medical doctor and some members of the works department temporarily stalled work in a consultation room at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital on Thursday, 23 June, 2022.
The argument started when technicians from the works department attempted to make some repairs in the consultation room.
The attempt to effect the repairs was rejected by the doctor who was attending to a patient at said time.
The refusal by the doctor degenerated into an altercation between the him and the technicians and resulted to the doctor angrily walking out of the consultation room.
The situation became chaotic as patients who had been waiting frantically to see the doctor demanded that the technicians allow the doctor to this job.
The situation was however brought under control when a senior medical staff stepped in and resolved the dispute.
