Dressing For An Interview

“Your appearance is your logo” says Sheila A. Anderson, founder of image power play. So before you choose an outfit for an interview, remember this. Also, your clothe is your first filter. It is the first thing people notice about you.

How you dress speaks volumes about your personality. There are many things to consider when picking an outfit for an interview because dressing is just as important as writing a resume or a cover letter.

First, research the dress codes for the position you are applying for in the company or industry. This will help greatly in making the best choice of outfit.

Next, go for comfortability. Most of the time, interviewees are usually tensed, putting on tight clothes will definitely not ease or help matters.

Then, you dress for success, you do not go overboard. That is, don’t be over dressed or under dressed. For ladies especially, do not dress seductively. Be modest as that will give extra credit. When you are well dressed, your level of confidence gets a boost.

Lastly, neatness should be one of your priorities, from your hair to the soles of your shoes nothing should be out of place as this shows that you are organized.
