Edo Poly Mgt Mulls Quality Health Care for Students

The management of Edo State Polytechnic, Usen in Ovia-South-West Local Government Area of Edo State svhas provided a robust and holistic health care for students of the polytechnic.

Rector of the polytechnic, Professor Abiodun Falodun disclosed this in his remarks at the 5th Eminent Scholar Lecture Series of the polytechnic.

He said that in line with the arrangement, the management has engaged the services of some health care professionals, including a medical doctor, a pharmacist, four nurses and a medical laboratory scientist for the polytechnic’s medical center.

According to him, “In the next few days, our health centre will be fully equipped with facilities and drugs and the centre will run 24/7.”

In an interview, the medical officer in charge of the centre, Dr Wilfred Okoro said that the rector who is highly interested in the health of the students has donated a power generator and a lantern for the health facility, saying that the centre is fully ready to operate a 24-hour service.
