Edo Poly Rector Lauds Obaseki’s Capacity Building Initiatives In State Owned Tertiary Institutions 

The Rector of Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, Prof Abiodun Falodun has applauded Governor Godwin Obaseki for his resulted oriented initiatives in human capacity development among staff of tertiary institutions in Edo state

Prof Abiodun Falodun gave the commendation in his closing remark at the grand finale of the Faculty Development Workshop on Pedagogy organised by the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for fifty academicians in Edo State polytechnic Usen.

The Rector affirmed that the Governor’s desire for competence among staff of the state owned tertiary institutions lead to formation of the EdoBEST 2.0 programme and one of its core pillar focus on training and retraining of teachers and other academicians in the  state.

He expressed his gratitude to the Director of the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, Dr Kess Asikhia and participants at the workshop for keying into the mandate of the State Government on educational reforms.

Participants at the workshop, in their remarks scored the Pedagogy workshop high. They noted that the training has revealed to them effective teaching and learning strategies that are students centred.
