EDOJOBS: Employability Skill Training For Churches

The Edo State Skill Development Agency (ESSDA) codenamed EDOJOBS, in collaboration with private and public organizations within and outside the state, has sent Employability Skill Training Letter to different churches in Usen Community, Edo State.

EDOJOBS, an initiative of the Edo State Government is an agency aimed at tackling the high rate of unemployment in Edo State through job creation and Skill development.

According to the letter sent to The First African Church Mission, St. Mathew Parish Usen, Ovia Upland District, it is very crucial for Edo residents especially the youth to be equipped with the right knowledge they need to succeed in the labor market.

This according to the agency will improve their performances and minimize errors.

In creating opportunity for the residents, it is pertinent the residents are provided with high demand skill set (Vocational Skills, Soft Skills) which is the focus of the Edo State Skill Development Agency.

It is to also match job seekers with available job opportunities, thereby serving as a bridge between the employers and the job seekers within and outside the State.

“In a bid to actualize this mandate, we desire to collaborate churches in this regard” the agency said.
