EDOPOLY: Multipurpose Co-operative Opens Abattoir Facility

The workers Multipurpose Co-operative, Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, has on Tuesday 16th, August, 2022, unveiled a new abattoir facility inside the campus.

The Chairman of the cooperative Eng. Omorodion Idemudia said the abattoir was an effort by the co-operative to ensure clean processing and consumption of meat within the Polytechnic Community.

Idemudia further noted that, the abattoir was put in place in order to meet the needs of both the students and the host community, as there is no abattoir within the community.

He said the facility will enable everyone within the community get meat at a relatively cheaper rate.

He also noted that, Co-operative is making great effort to sustain this new development. He said plans have been made to ensure steady maintenance of the facility.

Speaker further, he said plans are in top gear for the installation of a cold room within the facility to help preserve products.

He urged the staff, students and management of the Polytechnic to patronize the abattoir.

He also called on the entire Polytechnic community and its environ to support the facility through steady patronage, as this is the only way to sustain the project.
