EdoPoly Rector Urges Increased Collaboration Among Staff To Sustain Gains Of Obaseki’s Education Reforms, Set Up Committee On Staff Performance Evaluation. 

The Acting Rector of Edo State Polytechnic Usen, Engr. Sylvester Omoruyi has called for increased Collaboration among staff of the Polytechnic to sustain the gains of Governor Obaseki’s education reforms in the Polytechnic. The Rector made the demand at a congregational meeting with staff and his management team to deliberate on initiatives that will promote the delivery of quality service in the Institution.

The Rector, in his remark, appreciated Governor Godwin Obaseki and the Commissioner for Education, Mrs Joan Osa Oviawe for their continuous effort in reposting the Polytechnic in line with global standard.  He noted that Governor Godwin Obaseki’s contribution was instrumental in the recent success recorded in accreditation of academic programmes in the Polytechnic by NBTE and the Polytechnic is expectant of more support from the Governor in the second phase of accreditation of academic programmes in the Polytechnic.

 

Engr. Omoruyi also hinted on the need for staff to cultivate positive attitude to work, adding that the Management of the Polytechnic, henceforth will frown at any unethical conduct by staff. He revealed that a committee has been set up for the evaluation of staff performance. 

The Registrar, Prince Elawure Richard, the Librarian, Innocent Okoedon and other principal officers of the Polytechnic in their different remarks admonished staff to work together with the school management in order to have a milestone achievement.

Some staff who spoke at the congregational meeting emphasized on staff welfare as a requisition for effective service delivery.
