ESPU Idol Grand Finale Excites Students, As Winner Walks Home With N200 Thousand Prize

After several weeks of pulsating musical stage performances, Precious Ogiesoba popularly known with a stage name as “Pwonder” has emerged the winner of the ESPU IdolSeason 5 competition.

Pwonder was announced the winner after defeating eight other contestants at the grand finale which was held at Edo State Polytechnic Usen.

At the ESPU Idol grand finale, the finalists performed songs by popular artists but Pwonder’s electrifying performance of “Bottom Belle” by Omawumi woo the fans and the judges as they declared her the winner of the ESPU Idol Season 5 competition.

Highpoints of the event was the presentation of cash prize of two hundred thousand naira to the winner, while the first and second runner-ups Honeybell and Gloreeha both from the Department of Mass Communication, Edo Poly were given fifty thousand naira and thirty thousand naira respectively.

The organiser of the event, Mr. Ovwero Emmanuel, in his remark applauded the contestants for their performances, adding that the event is part of his contribution to awaken the social life the students in the polytechnic.

Speaking further, he said “Edo poly is blessed with talent. From the auditions to the grand finale, a lot of talents have been discovered. My vision is to see these contestants living their dreams by become super stars in the entertainment industry in no distance time”.
