FIFAU-17WWC: Flamingos Reach Last Four.

Nigeria female Under 17 national team, the flamingos have qualified for the semi final of the ongoing FIFA under 17 women world cup taking place in India.

The Flamingos on Friday afternoon defeated the US national team 4-3 on penalties after the match ended one goal apiece in regulation time.

The Flamingos took the lead from the penalty spot through Edafe Mamuzo but the young Americans leveled before the break.

With the game ending on a stalemate after 90 minutes, the Nigeria lads came out tops in the shoot out.

The victory means the Flamingos will be playing in the semifinal of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup for the first time.

The Flamingos will face the winner between Colombia and Tanzania in one of the semifinals.
