The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has ordered nine corps members that were posted to Akwa Ibom State to repeat their service year for absconding during the service year in the state.
The state coordinator, Mr. Chinyere Ekwe, made this known on Thursday in Uyo during the passing out ceremony of the 2021 batch ‘B’ stream 1 corps members who were posted to the state.
He said that eight other corps members who were involved in several forms of misconduct will also undergo various form of extension between two weeks and four months.
Ekwe also announced that a total number of 1,522 corps members existed the service year in the state.
