POLICE Confirms Second Abduction Of Oil Magnate In Kogi

The Kogi State Police Command had confirmed the abduction of the owner of Always Petroleum, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, in Okene.

Speaking on behalf of the command, DSP William Aya told newsmen on Sunday in Lokoja that Alhaji Idris was abducted by the kidnappers regardless the efforts made by the neighbors to stop the abduction.

It was gathered that the abduction of Alhaji Idris is the second time in less than two years having experienced same fate in 2019.

A source from the family who pleaded anonymity, told newsmen that the kidnappers came with weapons to the victim’s residence and abducted him.

The source also said Alhaji Idris was beaten and tied before his abductors took him away.

DSP William Aya further stated that he is not aware if any contact has been made between the kidnappers and the family of the victim, but efforts to rescue him has begun.
