The Ondo State Police Command says it has found a total of 77 people locked in the basement of a church in Ondo State.
The church, Bible Deliverance Church is located at Valentino Area of Ondo town, Ondo State.
According to the police, the victims were made up of 23 kids and 54 others including teenagers and adults, males and females.
There are allegations that the victims were kidnapped and kept in the underground apartment of the church for over six months before they were eventually freed.
The pastor of the church and some other members are currently in the custody of the command while investigations by the police have begun into the matter.
The victims were seen in a viral video as they were being taken to the police station in patrol vehicle.
