The Parish Priest of Holy Ghost Parish, Eke-Olengbeche, Otukpo in Benue State, Rev. Fr. Peter Amodu, has been kidnapped.
Reports say, the priest was abducted along Otukpo/Ugbokolo highway on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at about 5:00 pm.
It was gathered that he was going to Okwungaga-Ugbokolo to celebrate Mass when he was kidnapped.
The incident was confirmed in a circular released by the Catholic Diocese of Otukpo, and signed by the Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Joseph Itodo.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP, Catherine Anene, said she was yet to receive the report.
