Professor Ezekiel Asemah, has donated forty academic textbooks and journals to the department of mass communication, Edo state polytechnic, Usen.
The donation was in partnership of the developmental initiatives of the lecturers in the department and the donor’s determination on fostering a reading culture and promoting quality education among mass communication students in tertiary institutions.
Receiving the textbooks and journals donated by Prof. Asemah, the Rector of Edo State Polytechnic Usen Prof Abiodun Falodun appreciated the donor for his kind gesture towards the polytechnic.
Prof Falodun noted that books and journals donated will help to achieve sustainable educational development by promoting literacy and reading culture among the students and will be available for use by students at the digitalised news lab of the department.
Professor Ezekiel Asemah is the current Dean, College of Management and Social Sciences, Samuel Ageboyega University Ogwa, Edo state, and the most cited mass communication scholar in Nigeria at the moment. He was the guest speaker at the seminar organised by the department of mass communication, Edo state polyechnic to unveils her academic news website (espuvoice.com) early this year.
