Croatia came back from a goal down to beat Canada 4-1 in their Group F clash on Sunday night.
The win leave Croatia top of the group, knowing now that a point in their final game against Belgium on Thursday will be enough to see them progress.
Canada will face Morocco in a dead rubber clash on also on Thursday having already been knocked out of the tournament.
Niclas Fullkrug came on from the bench to score a vital goal that secure a point for Germany in their 1-1 draw against Spain in Sunday.
The game which started like a house on fire saw both teams attacking each other in full force.
The result means Spain top the group E on four points while Germany sit bottom on one point.
Germany will need to beat Costa Rica in their final group game to stand a chance of reaching the knockout stages.
Morocco shocked Belgium 2-0 in Sunday’s Group F match.
Abdelhamid Sabiri gave Morocco the lead in the 73rd minute, before Zakaria Aboukhlal clinched the victory in stoppage time.
The result means Belgium are likely to need a win over Croatia in their final group match to qualify for the knockout stages.
