Popular Nigerian actress, Toton Dikeh has emerged as the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State.
She was nominated as the running mate to Tonte Ibraye who emerged as the Governorship Candidate of the party.
Toton is among the those who have been advocating for women in politics and she has been doing well over the last few years in making remarkable impacts in the society.
Tonto said the party is looking forward to investing massively in social protection, creating a social value system for young people, increased women inclusion in governance.
She further noted that they are also looking to supporting small businesses and strengthening the traditional institutions of the state to be active players in the drive to bring sustainable development to the people of Rivers State.
She appreciated Mr Tonte Ibraye for nominating her to run with him. She added that people should get their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) so they will participate in the electoral process.
