Traders at the Polytechnic community of Usen narrowly escaped death on Friday, when a vigilante patrol car lost control and crashed into the market.
The accident which happened around 3:00pm destroyed goods and left 2 persons injured.
The driver of the said patrol car also sustained injuries, and was rushed to the hospital by his collegues.
An eye witness who pleaded anonymity said, the patrol van was trying to reverse but the road became too narrow for him to do so because of the traders who had occupied parts of the road.
The situation became chaotic, as some angry persons besieged the scene to pounce on the driver of the security car.
Attempts to contact the occupants of the security car proved abortive as they could not be reached for comments.
