WAEC: 85 Venues Get Approval For Coordination, Scripts Marking

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that the coordination and marking exercise of candidates’ answer scripts for the just concluded West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), 2022 will begin on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, after the Eid-el-Kabir holidays.

This was made known in a statement released by the acting head, WAEC public affairs, Moyosola Adeyegbe.

According to reports, the exercise will be carried out at eighty-five (85) marking venues spread across the country to keep up with the practice of releasing candidates’ results 45 days after the conduct of the last paper.

It also noted that the coordination meetings for Chief Examiners and Team Leaders will be held in the morning of Wednesday, July 13, while the Assistant Examiners Coordination meetings will commence in the afternoon of the same day.

The coordination meetings would last for three days, from Wednesday, July 13 to Friday, July 15, 2022.

The commencement date is to allow Muslim faithfuls (Staff and Examiners) partake fully in the celebration before embarking on the assignment.

Moyosola on behalf of the Head of National Office, Mr Patrick Areghan also used the opportunity to felicitate with the Muslim faithful for the celebration of 2022 Eid-El-Kabir festivity.
