Nigeria’s U17 male national team, the Golden Eaglet on Friday evening defeated their west Africa counterpart, Burkina Faso to lift regional competition.
A brace from Abubakar Abdullahi Idris ensured the Eaglets beat the Burkinabès 2-1 to end the tournament on a high.
The Eaglets had already qualified for next year’s Afcon U17 championship having reached the final of the WAFU ZONE B tournament.
Both Nigeria and Bukina Faso will partake in the 2023 edition of the continental championship scheduled to hold in Algeria.
The four semi finalist in Algeria will represent the Continent at the FIFA U17 world cup in Peru
